Home Care Assistance, West Coast Perth, along with Kate and all of the carers have provided the utmost in reassurance and care for the eldest member of our family. After initially using another provider for in-home care we are very satisfied with the genuine, responsive and efficient direct care and management of the care team provided to us by Home Care Assistance. We would recommend them without hesitation and value the way in which they work closely with our whole family to ensure that all people involved are satisfied with the day-to-day care being provided.

Kate and her team saved the dynamics of our family at a stressful time, when we felt one of us would have to move in and become our parents’ full time carer, as all alternative options could not provide the level of care we required. Her calm, can do approach, was a breath of fresh air; nothing is ever too much trouble and we can contact her directly anytime. Over the last 2 years the HCA team have become an extension of our family. Our parents have regained a peaceful, daily routine and are living out their final years happily at home. We now enjoy more quality time with them, knowing they are safe, content and well looked after.

The team were lovely human beings, the service was responsive when there were any issues as there always is with end of life care, it’s really a family centred service you run and provides a great option for people with a bit of extra dosh – I’m sure more families could manage it!

From the outset my communication with Kate was warm, helpful, accommodating & informative, while never applying pressure. This was tremendously important in my unique situation. The care workers entering my home over a 2 week period including Carol (RN), Maxine and Anne are a credit to your organisation. Each carer, while unique individuals, was adept at their duties, kind & helpful in their approach, and happily fulfilled any task set. At all times I felt safe, my modesty respected, and even socially stimulated during the hour of their service each day.

I would recommend your service when the opportunity arises, as it sometimes does in my employment as an allied health worker.

Your Carers come in and treat Mum like Mum, the way you want her to be treated. We’ve been with another care organistion in the past and they couldn’t even encourage Mum to get in the shower, there’s no comparison, you’re 100% better.

My mother commenced her L2 home care package in mid 2017 with Home Care Assistance. Having spent several months researching Aged care home service providers and feeling overwhelmed, stressed and confused it was a breath of fresh air to meet Kate Hansford, and for the HCA model to be so simple, flexible and straightforward. Over the next two years mum graduated to level 3 and 4 HCPs with her services increasing to meet her increased needs. Mums carers were lovely and she had one specific carer for the whole time she was with HCA. HCA were always able to meet mums needs even when she decided at the last minute that she would like a carer to sleep over. HCA staff were always available to communicate with and could never do enough for us. The coordinator would visit mum regularly to ensure she was getting the services she needed, daily carer schedules were developed to ensure all tasks were completed, and all staff were extremely flexible in their quest to provide appropriate services as required. Thank you to everyone for making mum’s last two years more comfortable.
