The 24/7 home care promise
People with frailty syndrome, mid to late-stage dementia and advanced illness have the best experience when they live at home with around-the-clock care. Both the individual and their family enjoy total peace of mind with reliable 24/7 Care Workers in their home to monitor safety, tend to their needs and be a friend and companion you can count on.
At Home Care Assistance, we provide assurance to families who want their loved ones to have the best of care at all times and who also understand that self-care in the form of a helping hand and a good night’s sleep can enhance everyone’s life.
Why choose 24 hour home care?
If you’re looking for a comprehensive, cost effective alternative to any type of facility, around-the-clock home care is the choice for you. The emotional strain associated with moving away from the familiarity and comfort of home often leads to physical decline, further loss of independence and diminished quality of life.
24-hour care allows your loved one to remain in the home, while ensuring safety and promoting optimal well-being. In addition, our Care Workers provide a much more personalised plan of care tailored to the status, conditions, preferences, hobbies and lifestyle of the individual.
24/7 Home Care Helps…
-
Calm agitation, helping people who have lost their sense of time and place
-
Create greater companionship, especially at moments of greatest anxiety
-
Meet personal and medical needs at night, keeping medications on schedule
-
Reduce skin infections and chance of urinary tract infections with a 24-hour care regimen
-
Minimise risk of falls for people who need assistance getting out of bed and around the house.
Scheduling of 24 Hour Home Care
As an individual’s needs evolve, our care team will work with you to increase home care services from 8 to 12 to 24 hours. Even with 24 hours of care in the home, there are different ways in which we can structure support. These include:
-
One caregiver each day: He/she works a full 16-hour day with breaks, followed by 8 hours in-home sleep
-
Two caregivers each day: He/she works in 12-hour shifts. The evening caregiver stays awake through the night to monitor health and safety
What Are In-Home Care Workers
With 24/7, around-the-clock care, a Care Worker is always watching over your loved one, offering emotional support, reducing the risk of falls and assisting in all the activities of daily living.
